Our space segment
of 5 satellites is unmatched in its ability to provide large area, multi-spectral images with frequent revisits in high resolution. Together our 5 identical earth observation satellites are capable of collecting over 5 Million km² of 5 m resolution, 5-band color imagery every day. Since the start of RapidEye's commercial operations in February 2009 it has amassed over 3 Billion square kilometers in its archive.
The ground segment includes preprocessing and processing systems to handle customer orders, perform image data correction, generate standard and customized products and services, and manage the data archival catalog.
